Light the candle for 10–15 minutes to allow enough oil to form, or until the top level of oil pools evenly and there is still solid candle oil underneath (and it’ll help set the mood).

To extinguish your candle, gently blow out the flame and contain any smoke with the jar's lid. A wick snuffer works great,too. Never attempt to extinguish a candle using water.

Once you blow out the candle, the melted oil is ready for use. Be sure to carefully check the temperature of the glass container and the oil. Since it’s oil-based, the candle burns at a lower temperature, so it will feel warm. You can either pour the oil directly onto the skin, or apply with your fingertips and massage it in. The light and silky texture will moisturize and absorb into the skin, and can be reapplied as desired. Warning: Burn should not be used as a personal lubricant. It is safe for external use only, including on intimate areas.

The continuous burn time of the candle is approximately 30 hours for a 4 oz/113 g jar. We recommend burning the candle in intervals of 10 to 15 minutes for optimal consistency.
